Step one

Start by drawing two squares or rectangles using your favourite highlighter to create a simple base layout for your journal page

Step two

Choose and cut out 5 to 10 small pieces of paper to use as layering elements in your aesthetic journal layout.

Step three

Arrange your papers in a way you like. When you are ready, use our Animal Sticky Dot Roller to glue down your paper, you can reposition it if need be as the sticky dots don't set straight away.

Add stickers to complete your collage.

Step four

Use your liner pen to outline the highlighter shapes and complete your journal border.

I used a dot-dot-dash and dot-dot-dot combo, but you can customise it—try a broken line with tiny hearts in the gaps, or a wavy line with dots in between.
